Organization:
- The biological practical course can be chosen as an elective subject in all grades.
- In the first semester, the lessons take place every two weeks for the third and fourth grade classes and 3rd In the winter semester, the 4th grade classes take place every two weeks and for the 1st and 2nd grade classes every two weeks in the summer semester.
Objectives of the internship:
- Building a deeper understanding of science
- Development of scientific research skills, through experience in scientific working methods
- Learning practical skills such as
- the proper use of microscopes
- carrying out safe and precise dissection work
- Practical gardening activities
- Deepening the understanding of biological concepts such as
- Systematics, compartmentalization, structure and function
- Promoting environmental understanding and awareness through
- Utilizing products from the school garden
- Understanding ecology in the school garden
Biological exercises
The content depends on the subject-specific focus of the individual year groups and is adapted to the respective possibilities.

- Preparation of microscopic slides
- Breeding of protists and subsequent experiments
- Stimulus-response experiments with mimosas
- Experiments with live animals
- Planting and maintaining the school garden
- Harvesting and processing produce from the school garden
- Dissection of organs (pig eyes, pig heart, fish, etc.)
