Since the 2024/25 school year, students have had the opportunity to attend a “Model United Nations (MUN)” course. MUN is a simulation of the United Nations (UN) in which both current political and humanitarian problems are discussed. Similar to the UN General Assembly, the participants try to solve these problems diplomatically.
The students take on the roles of actual UN member states and prepare for the discussions from the perspective of their assigned country. The aim of the course is to promote students’ political understanding, improve their communication skills in English and develop their diplomatic skills. These skills are then put into practice at MUN conferences in Budapest and abroad.
