Every school year, two students from the 2nd grade of the Austrian School Budapest have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for one year at the Theresianum (public grammar school of the Theresian Academy Foundation Vienna).
The Theresianum is one of the most renowned and best Austrian grammar schools.
This is a study visit as part of a program of the Scholarship Foundation of the Republic of Austria.
All students of the Austrian School Budapest receive a 20% discount on the summer courses of the Language Center. In addition, every year two students receive a full scholarship for a four-week German course in the summer months.
The Rail Cargo Hungaria Scholarships are awarded to pupils in the 2nd to 4th grades who, in addition to excellent school performance, also stand out for their social skills, participation in school life and activities for the school community, and thus make a significant contribution to the success of the Austrian School Budapest.
Rail Cargo Hungaria is supporting students at the Austrian School in the 2025/2026 school year with a total funding amount of 2,500,000 forints. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 scholarships are awarded per school year. This means between 312,500 and 833,333 forints per scholarship. The grant will be divided equally between the successful applicants.
