A total of 32 students from 16 schools across the country took part in this year’s “International Youth Debate” competition. In the inter-school round, which took place in Mezőberény, students from the Petőfi Sándor Evangelical High School, the Budapest German Nationality High School, the Trefort High School and the Budapest Austrian High School put their knowledge and rhetorical skills to the test.
This time, the participants debated the question of whether it would be a good decision to abolish daily PE lessons in Hungarian schools. Two students from our school, Christian Piskernig and Samuel de Benedetto, put forward strong arguments and qualified for the national semi-finals, which will take place in Budapest on May 28.
We are very proud of this achievement!
